Flower Crowns and Secret Gardens.

It’s Spring.

“Is the spring coming?” he said. “What is it like?”…
“It is the sun shining on the rain and the rain falling on the sunshine…”

– Frances Hodgson Burnett, The Secret Garden

I’m sharing some images I love of flower crowns, they are stunning and so bohemian, I can’t get enough of them.

I’ve been playing around with a few ideas, spring, flower crowns, and the book The secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett.

I haven’t quite finished this piece yet but wanted to share her, she is a wire and paper mache sculpture and I want her to represent spring.

I’m also working on a couple of corsets in the little vintage tins, playing with the idea of spring and the flower crowns. Will share later.

“Spring passes and one remembers one’s innocence.
Summer passes and one remembers one’s exuberance.
Autumn passes and one remembers one’s reverence.
Winter passes and one remembers one’s perseverance.”

– Yoko Ono
