Tom said I should let everybody know that I’m still working on the Princess And The Pea. I’ve made some of the mattresses and the bed frame. The bed frame is not yet ready for public consumption but, in the interests of domestic harmony I’ve agreed to post some photos of the mattresses. Hope you like them. Quite a few more to go yet.

The nights are drawing in. I love this time of year, I can curl up on my sofa with all my bits around me, making these very simple white dresses that remind me of snowy winters.
(Where we live we hardly get any snow so I must let my imagination run away with me. But the new Richard Attenborough series – Frozen Planet help. Amazing photography, really recommend it. If you can, you might be able to see it on the BBC iPlayer for the next 30 days, click here – Frozen Planet on iPlayer )
Anyway back to the point of this post. The little dresses are gorgeously white, made from soft white cotton with little pearly buttons and as usual book papers are used to form the bodice.
Each dress is enbrodered with words such as “cherish”, “joy”, “love”, “kindness” etc. Words to warm the heart for the chilly winter ahead. Hope the images come across cozy : )
Tom says we do get snow,so to keep him quiet here are some photos he took last winter.

I’m a little late putting this one up. She’s already available on Etsy and will be going up in our own online shop this afternoon.
Assemblage Art Dress Made From Paper and Fabric
Small 14cm long, 15cm wide, paper fabric assemblage.
One small three dimensional tea party dress, ready for tea with the Mad Hatter and his friends. Tailored and stitched together from old book pages and old fabric.
Including hanger and wooden peg.
“There is a place. Like no place on Earth. A land full of wonder, mystery, and danger! Some say to survive it: You need to be as mad as a hatter. Which luckily I am.”
~The Mad Hatter – Alice in Wonderland.

I bet you’re all wondering where I’ve been, haven’t you? Thought I’d been thrown out for posting images that didn’t “toe the editorial line” (I did come close)? Nope, I’ve been bevering away in the background posting parcels, formatting pictures and uploading items, you know – doing the donkey work. Can’t let Sue damage those little creative mitts can we 😉
Looks like our (“my”) plans are progressing well, with half the globe currently enjoying the best of contemporary Welsh art 😉
The blog was started sometime ago but we’ve only being giving it a real go since January of this year. We’re quite amazed by the response and support we’ve received, thanks to all who have visited and supported us by purchasing.
Please continue to pop in when you can as we try to keep the blog updated (I’m under orders to post some new item shortly). If you have any questions you’d like to ask me or Sue, please feel free to do so via comments or by e-mailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org .
