Visit To The Boot Sale

Yesterday Tom and I went to walk another hill in Snowdonia (more on that later) but, before starting out I had to go visit the local boot sale to find some more vintage and unusual treasures.   I went straight to the little container shop owned by Vicky, her container is full of inspirational little things. The trouble with this little stall is that I could spend hours looking in little baskets, boxes, cases and nooks and crannies.  I never have enough time there, she is so helpful and knows  exactly what I ‘m looking for.  (Thank you Vicky.)

Here are the finds I came away with.

A stunning  slim vintage tin and some assorted vintage pearl beads.
Beautiful vintage cotton handkerchiefs.
Vintage buttons off baby clothes – ever so cute and tiny.
Another slim vintage cigarette tin.
I’m very excited about this beautiful little silk baby gown. It’s been beautifully made. I want to make it into a little piece of art without detracting from the dress it self.
A couple of Cuban cigar boxes – excited about what little worlds I can create in these.

I should also mention Vicky runs a great little blog called Anglesey Allsorts, with “Musings from a little piece of wales, a little homebody reaching out to similar, with interests in and around their home, garden, and untold treasures of the past!” If you’d like to visit her blog click here or chose the link from the “Sites to inspire and enjoy” menu in the right-hand margin.
